  • Partner with community members and stakeholders to shape mediation programs collaboratively

  • Offer services that reflect the diversity of the community in age, culture, background, and experience

  • Hold mediations in neighborhoods where disputes occur

  • Schedule mediations at a time and place convenient for the participants

  • Support early use of mediation to prevent escalation, reduce conflict, and limit court involvement

  • Mediate disputes referred from a variety of sources, including self-referrals, schools, community organizations, courts, police, and civic or faith groups
